'Holland Park, the walled garden, caught the tulips last week and finished it this Friday with our lovely Heatherley's School of Art group ...'
Melissa Scott-Miller, May 2025
This year Heatherley's School of Fine Art is celebrating its 180th anniversary. It is one of the oldest independent art colleges in London, and notably was the first school to admit women to the life drawing room on equal terms with male students. Some of Chris Beetles favourite artists, including Kate Greenaway and E H Shepard, attended Heatherley's.
Melissa Scott-Miller is a regular teacher at Heatherley's, and has been working with students featured in the Annual Diploma Graduates Exhibition 2025. Melissa has painted across London with her students in areas such as Holland Park, Brompton Cemetery, Battersea Park and Bishops Park, Fulham.
